A noteworthy participation of CEERRF at ENPHE 2024 in Warsaw
CEERRF is proud to announce the remarkable participation of its students and faculty members at the ENPHE 2024 congress, held in Warsaw last September. This edition took place at AWF University and gathered European universities that are part of ENPHE, the network dedicated to higher education in physiotherapy in Europe, to promote collaboration and the exchange of best practices.
An enriching student success
Four CEERRF students—recent graduates Laure and Eden, along with Simon and Hugo, who are in their final year—had the opportunity to present their research projects at the congress. This showcased the high level of training provided at CEERRF and the success of its internationalization program.
Eden and Laure took first and second place in the best poster competition, a distinction that reflects the quality of their research and their ability to clearly and concisely communicate their results, with the support of their thesis supervisors Céleste Rousseau and Nadine Streit.
Eden‘s thesis focused on intercultural relations between female patients who have undergone female genital mutilation and physiotherapists, exploring the challenges and opportunities in caring for these patients in an intercultural context. Her poster highlighted the importance of cultural sensitivity in physiotherapy practice and sparked significant interest among the professionals present.
Laure presented her research on the experiences of physiotherapy students in treating patients with spinal cord injuries. Her poster addressed the emotional, technical, and human aspects of this experience, emphasizing the importance of supervision and emotional management for students facing complex clinical situations.
Simon and Hugo also shone at the congress by presenting their thesis project in the “Research” working group with their teacher, Adrien Pallot. Their presentation was praised for its clarity and relevance, and they received commendations for the quality of their work.
You can soon find their testimonials on our website.
A collective commitment to educational innovation
CEERRF’s participation in the ENPHE congress extended beyond the student presentations. The school’s faculty actively participated in various working groups (Research, Environment, Internationalization, among others), contributing to enriching discussions on the future of physiotherapy education.
The Research working group, in particular, promoted collaboration among ENPHE member institutions and encouraged student engagement in evidence-based practice (EBP). CEERRF played a key role in this working group by participating in international research projects, including a survey on evidence-based physiotherapy education.
The Internationalization working group focused on the international competencies needed for future physiotherapists and on developing both virtual and in-person exchange programs. CEERRF committed to this initiative by participating in an Erasmus+ Intensive Hybrid Program (IHP) on evidence-based physiotherapy, which will take place from October 21 to 25, 2024, at Charles University in Prague, in collaboration with two Spanish universities : La Coruña and UE Madrid and the University of Applied Sciences of Savonia in Finland. Five students and their teacher from each university will enjoy a rich educational, athletic, and cultural experience.
Lastly, the Environment working group raised awareness about the importance of integrating environmental education and sustainability into physiotherapy training. CEERRF contributed to this working group by participating in a global awareness survey on physiotherapy and developing an Escape Game to raise awareness among students and teachers about these issues.
Erasmus+ becomes a catalyst for innovation and openness at CEERRF
CEERRF’s participation in the ENPHE 2024 congress was made possible through the support of the Erasmus+ program, which promotes the mobility of students and teachers within the European Union. This program has allowed CEERRF students to complete internships abroad, participate in international research projects, and present their work at international conferences.
The ENPHE 2024 congress was a resounding success for CEERRF. The notable participation of its students and faculty reflects the quality of its education, its commitment to pedagogical innovation, and its openness to the world. CEERRF will continue to engage in international projects and encourage the mobility of its students and teachers, aiming to train competent physiotherapists who are globally-minded and ready to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
