Internationalization at the heart of physiotherapy education
Each year, CEERRF concludes its academic year with International Week, a pedagogical initiative designed to place internationalization at the heart of physiotherapy education.
This year, our second- and third-year students took part in courses, workshops, and exchanges led by instructors from our European and international partner universities. This is a concrete way to foster professional and cultural openness from the very beginning of their training

Through the Erasmus+ programme, we bring international experiences to all student cohorts—not just to those taking part in study or clinical mobility abroad, including BIP (Blended Intensive Programmes). This is the strength of “International at Home“: making the benefits of the Erasmus+ programme accessible to all by welcoming international faculty, fostering exchanges of practice, and encouraging comparative perspectives on healthcare.
This year, we had the honour of welcoming Professor Francesc Valenzuela, physiotherapy lecturer at the University of Lleida (Spain). This active partnership took shape through several sessions with our students, covering topics such as contemporary approaches to clinical reasoning, physiotherapy management of athletes, and the neurophysiology of pain applied to musculoskeletal disorders, among others. His expertise, engaging teaching style, and ability to connect with our students were particularly appreciated.
Students welcomed the exposure to alternative methodologies, new perspectives on their future profession, and a tangible immersion in a European learning environment. This week further strengthened their commitment to a modern, collaborative, and forward-looking approach to physiotherapy.
