Camille and Olivier Share Their Erasmus+ Experience in Granada
Two physiotherapy students from CEERRF, Camille and Olivier, recently completed an Erasmus+ mobility program at the University of Granada. This one-week stay allowed these 4th-year students to work on their final dissertation in collaboration with their dissertation supervisor Dr Carmen Valenza.
The objective of this short hybrid study mobility, a first-time collaboration between CEERRF and the University of Granada, was twofold:
The week’s schedule was rich and intense, with each day marked by individual and group work sessions. These sessions allowed them to advance through the various stages of writing their dissertation: identifying and extracting data, critically reading articles, applying PRISMA quality criteria, and conducting both descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.
The warm welcome from Carmen Valenza and her team left a lasting impression on the two students, who emphasized the importance of the support and guidance they received throughout their stay. Camille described this experience as one of her best memories at CEERRF, while Olivier called it the best experience of his four years of study.
The impact of this mobility extends beyond academics. Camille and Olivier had the opportunity to discover Granada, a vibrant city and Spain’s top Erasmus destination. This experience also strengthened their motivation for research and allowed them to forge lasting professional connections.
CEERRF strongly encourages international mobility. This successful experience in Granada paves the way for future Erasmus+ exchanges for physiotherapy students. International mobility offers a unique opportunity to broaden one’s horizons, develop skills, and build a strong professional network.
Testimonial from Olivier
In connection with our dissertation project, CEERRF gave us the opportunity to travel to Granada (Spain) through a short Erasmus mobility program to meet our dissertation supervisor, Ms. Carmen Valenza.
As the first students to travel to Spain under this partnership, the journey was full of adventures, but it was absolutely worth it. It was the best experience I had during my four years of study at CEERRF. Carmen and her team gave us a warm welcome at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Granada. The formula was simple but effective: work, eat, sleep, repeat. I am sincerely grateful and touched by the dedication of Carmen and her team for everything they shared with me throughout the stay. Granada is a beautiful and vibrant city — the number one Erasmus destination in Spain — and I now understand why.
It’s an experience I would have happily extended!
Testimonial from Camille
I believe this mobility experience was one of my best memories as a student at CEERRF. The atmosphere, the warm welcome, and the support from our dissertation supervisor, Professor Carmen Valenza, as well as her team, truly pushed us to surpass ourselves in our research. The days were intense in terms of workload, but with the support of the team, time flew by. My only regret is not being able to stay longer!
I am very proud to be one of the first students to go to Granada to contribute to research development. This short mobility marks the beginning of a partnership between the University of Granada and CEERRF’s IFMK, which I hope will continue so that future students passionate about research can also benefit from it.
I would like to thank Carmen once again, as well as Maria, Alejandro, Julia, and Inès for their support!
