An Erasmus+ mobility in Granada in support of research in physiotherapy
As part of our partnership with the University of Granada, two of our final-year students, Eyal and Noémi, recently had the opportunity to participate in a study mobility program for their thesis projects. Supervised by Dr Carmen Valenza, they were able, thanks to the flexibility of Erasmus+, to undertake a short and hybrid study stay. This experience, which validated an optional academic unit, reflects CEERRF’s commitment to providing an international dimension to its programs.

Immersed in the Spanish healthcare system
For Eyal, this five-day mobility in Granada was a unique chance to advance his thesis while discovering another aspect of his future profession. “This immersion allowed me to explore how physiotherapy is practiced in Spain, both in terms of organization and integration within the healthcare system,” he explains. Interacting with local teams and visiting the university hospital gave him a concrete understanding of the physiotherapist’s role in Spanish society. Observing experiments and collaboration between professionals broadened his perspective on physiotherapy and opened new horizons for his own practice.
Research and learning at the heart of the mobility
Noémi, a student in apprenticeship, also had a rewarding experience, focusing on her thesis on the effectiveness of aerobic exercise in patients with hematologic cancers. Her stay allowed her to deepen her knowledge of systematic review methodology and discover how an international research team functions. She emphasizes the importance of the school’s support, particularly from Mr. Castillo, who made this project possible despite the administrative complexities related to her apprenticeship status. “It was a rich experience, both scientifically and personally,” she shares.

An opportunity not to be missed
The experiences of Eyal and Noémi perfectly illustrate the value of international exposure in a physiotherapy program. CEERRF, with the support of Erasmus+, is proud to offer such opportunities to its students. We warmly thank Dr. Carmen Valenza for her invaluable guidance and encourage all our students to explore the mobility opportunities available to them.
