CEERRF attends Brussels’ international week
From November 4 to 8, 2024, CEERRF actively participated in an international week organized by several prestigious higher education institutions in Brussels including : Lucia de Brouckère, Brabant, Ilya Prigogine & Francisco ferrer, as well as ARES.
This event brought together professionals from various countries, offering our institution a unique opportunity to strengthen its European partnerships while showcasing the excellence of its physiotherapy training.
The CEERRF delegation—comprising members of our International office and academic team—attended numerous conferences, workshops, and networking sessions that underscored our commitment to internationalization and pedagogical innovation. These interactions enabled us to share experiences and explore new avenues for collaboration with leading European institutions.
Key themes emerged throughout the week. First, the focus on building international partnerships opened promising opportunities for collaboration with the French-speaking Belgian higher education system. Additionally, the development of Blended Intensive Programs (BIP), which combine physical mobility with virtual learning, generated significant interest. These programs represent an opportunity to enrich our training offerings and provide our students with innovative, hybrid learning experiences.
Pedagogical innovation was another prominent topic, especially the importance of offering courses in English to boost the international appeal of our programs. Moreover, integrating an international dimension into the physiotherapy curriculum—particularly through Erasmus+ projects—was widely discussed by our representatives Alice Vincent and Emiliano Castillo.
The event’s program was exceptionally rich. Sessions on Erasmus+ projects with an ecological focus (Learn4Green) and on promoting green mobility provided fresh insights, while dedicated networking sessions facilitated direct exchanges with international coordinators from Brussels’ higher education institutions. A cultural tour of Brussels further enriched the experience, offering valuable context and strengthening potential partnerships.
This international week marks a significant milestone in CEERRF’s internationalization strategy. It paves the way for new collaborations, the implementation of innovative programs, and an enhanced global appeal for our physiotherapy training. Enriched by this experience, CEERRF is eager to integrate these best practices into its future development.
