On 6 September, the CEERRF had the pleasure of welcoming the new first-year students.
M. Cerioli, director of the institute and M. Evelinger, head of the first cycle, presented the training to the students.
Indeed, in accordance with the regulatory texts, “the training reference system organises, after a validated first university year (60 ECTS), the development of professional skills over two cycles of 4 semesters each. The first cycle provides the fundamental scientific, methodological and professional teachings necessary to understand health problems and clinical situations encountered in physiotherapy. The second cycle, from the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge base, organizes the development of diagnostic and intervention skills in all the fields of practice of the profession”.
The students also discovered the internship schedule and the teaching calendar from September 2022 to June 2023. The clinical training has a total duration of 42 weeks, i.e. 1,470 hours spread over the four years of training on the basis of 35 hours per week.
During this first day, the students who make up the 34th promotion of the CEERRF, received their training clothes, the latest edition of the book by our trainer Adrien Pallot, Evidence based practice in rehabilitation and the AVC booklet on the management of the patient after a stroke.
The students were also welcomed by the student’s union who presented the different aspects of student life, without forgetting the participation of students from the upper years who do not hesitate to welcome and share their experiences with newcomers.
In 2022-2023, the CEERRF will continue to open up internationally with the development of mobility for internship purposes. Three third-year students are currently doing an internship in a private practice in Valencia (Spain) and a fourth-year student has been able to do an observation internship in Brisbane (Australia).
In June 2023, the CEERRF will welcome experts from all over the world to share their expertise with the students and teaching staff during its European and international week.
The CEERRF wishes all its students to take full advantage of their training which will lead them to the practice of one of the most beautiful professions in the world, the physiotherapist profession.
We wish you all the best for the new school year !
