International week also means workshops on environmental health!

Training differently to care differently — that’s the ambition driving our recent initiatives in support of ecological transition in healthcare education.

Following the signing of the Charter of Eco-Responsible Initial Training Institutions 2025 last month, and as part of International Week, CEERRF — with the involvement of the ÉcoKiné association — is taking action for the future by integrating environmental issues into physiotherapy training.

Workshops to Move from Awareness to Action

Our commitment goes beyond signing a charter! During International Week, second-year students took part in environmental health awareness workshops, organized with the support of ÉcoKiné and the presence of Pauline Roland, physiotherapist and inspiring advocate, who leads the first ÉcoKiné-certified practice in France.

At CEERRF, these events were led by Céleste Rousseau, a passionate educator exploring the links between health and the environment, alongside Nawel, our Environmental Health Officer, who is actively working to embed sustainability within the student experience and institute culture.

A collaborative mural to capture collective thinking

The workshops culminated in the creation of a collaborative mural, the result of teamwork among students exploring key topics such as pollution, climate change, public health, and eco-responsible clinical practices. This visual and creative approach allowed ideas, reflections, and proposals to emerge and be shared in an impactful way.

A Pedagogical Shift in Line with Our Vision

This initiative is part of CEERRF’s broader commitment to pedagogical innovation. It resonates with other immersive learning formats featured during International Week — such as the clinical reasoning escape game and communication simulations — by placing students at the heart of an active, reflective, and hands-on educational experience.

In short: a greener campus, more responsible teaching practices, and future healthcare professionals better equipped to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

Congratulations to everyone involved for your engagement — this is just the beginning!
