Our students are invited to open to the outdoors, and participate in events, conferences and conventions related to the profession.

Vincent shares his experience.

“On Saturday, March 17, the Manual Therapy and Research Congress was held. We were able to participate with about twenty students gathering K1, K2 and K3 at this congress organized by I.T.M.P (Institute of Manual Therapy and Physiotherapy).

I.T.M.P is an institute of continuing education, leader in France in the field of manual therapy. It was a great opportunity for us to participate in this event hosted by major physiotherapy players in France but also internationally. The congress took place on a day organized in several themes in amphitheater and also in the form of workshops on specific themes.

It was truly an enriching learning experience for students who were able to attend rich and varied presentations led by French experts.

¨ “Profession and its future” led by the President of the National Council of the Order of Masseurs-Physiotherapists (CNOMK): Pascale MATHIEU

¨ “Rehabilitation and lumbar surgery” led by Dr. Arnaud DUPEYRON

¨ “Low back pain” led by Xavier DUFOUR – Director of I.T.M.P

¨ “Tension of the posterior structures of the glenohumeral” – Frédéric SROUR

These are just some of the many topics presented by the speakers. But we were also fortunate to hear from international experts who shared their expertise on topics such as “Neuroscience Pain Management” or “Dry Needling”.

We participated in various practical workshops that were organized in small groups on various topics, such as “manual rehabilitation of tendinopathies Achilles” led by Christophe MAHIEU : Masseur-physiotherapist specialist in sports and especially motorsports.

The purpose of these workshops was to discuss the techniques of manual therapy and the practices of each one, which were really rewarding for us as students because we were able to interact more directly with professionals in the field through group, exchange of questions and answers, demonstrations on topics that we had addressed as part of our training.

This conference was really a great learning opportunity in a professional setting where we were very well received as a student, we really thank the ITMP for giving us the opportunity to participate in this event as well as all the stakeholders to have shared their knowledge and expertise with us. ”
