The attribution of the Master of Science applied in Physical Therapy by the final jury at the end of the fourth years’ period depends on the validation of all Teaching Units from the curriculum (240ECTS). For now, there is no equivalence with a Master 2, but this degree can be used as a link to other university courses (biomechanics …).
The 3 keys to success are: basic education (anatomy, pathology …), sciences and physiotherapy (skill component), learning and deepening (introduction to research and internships). Therefore, stakeholders have different profiles depending on the needs (practitioners, university …)
The repetition is adjudged when the required amount of yearly Teaching Units isn’t reached (less than 52 ECTS). In that case, the student follows the courses and validates the Teaching Units (UE) not obtained during the year preceding his repetition.
The training consists of lessons and courses in the institute and full-time internships in hospitals, private or public practices or even research labs for instance (2 per year and a fellowship during the fourth year). Empowerment of the student is the main purpose of this alternation through the validation of skills.
